Introducing My Dad And His Art!


Hello. I want to introduced my Dad’s beautiful art work to the world and even more exciting, the release of hand selected images of his paintings on Blank Note Cards, size A2. My Dad’s creativity, played a role in inspiring and encouraging my artistic life. (HeArtfully Creating) Wanting to be an artist since I could hold a pencil. 


Primarily a self taught artist, I am excited to finally present a selected collection of  his beautiful paintings by making Blank Art Notecards available for purchase once all is ready. Until then, I get to share sneak peeks of the images that will appear on the cards along with other paintings. His primary subject matter?  Beautiful landscapes that he most often experienced in real life. As well, his paintings of wild life and botanical delights. 


Once all the details regarding how to purchase either sets or individual cards are set up, I will be sharing those details here and on the social media links below.

Oil Painting by My Dad  (on the left) With His Two Brothers. Ed and John As a youngster, I always liked drawing. If I could get my hands on a scribbler or pad of paper, I was drawingpicturesof rocks, lakes and trees. Spending a lotof time with Dad in the bush. hunting, fishing and trapping. I grew up in awe of our surroundings. Over the years, because of where we grew up in and around Dorion, Ontario, we experienced a lot of epic scenery. Years later, after I retired home from working with Bell Canada. With a hammer, a saw and some wood on hand, I built  myself a standing floor easel! With many many more photos of those memorable scenes, I started oil painting.  As the decades passed our walls, slowly filled with painting after painting. Each one becoming a window to each memory of childhood and beyond. Eventually as the walls filled, our closet did as well. Collection One: Well Seasoned: Go Leafs Go

Oil Painting on canvas by Bob (RJ) harris "go leafs go!" As September advances, so does the most gorgeous season of all in Ontario, Canada. Where my Dad's home town is located. Autumn leaves, especially Maple trees, radiate varieties of rich, glorious reds.  Introducing the first selection of my Dad's wonderful oil paintings that will be included in "Collection One: Well Seasoned."  Go Leafs Go! will be one part of a 12 card set. The clear vinyl wallet will hold 2 of 6 different oil painting images with white envelopes.  Using Inkjet Ink printed on Acid free 65lb white card stock. We are still working on the details like selection, cost and such. Either way, I want to share his lovely paintings piece by piece.  Since "Well Seasoned" is all about our changing seasons in Canada.
